Habinaut LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Habinaut mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name (chosen by you)

Health and Wellness Data

When you use the App, you may choose to enter:

• Medication and supplement names, dosages, and schedules
• Workout templates, exercise names, sets, reps, and weights
• Custom habit names and schedules
• Daily completion records and timestamps

Important: We do not collect medical diagnoses, health insurance information, or any data from medical devices. The health and wellness data you enter is self-reported and voluntarily provided.

App Usage Data

We collect basic usage data to ensure the App functions properly:

• Civilization game progress (era, planet, resource levels)
• Achievement and streak records
• XP allocation preferences
• Notification scheduling preferences

Technical Data

• Device type and operating system version (collected automatically by the App Store)
• Time zone setting (used for scheduling and day boundary calculations)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide the habit tracking and gamification features of the App
• Send you scheduled push notifications for your medications, workouts, and habits (only if you enable notifications)
• Maintain your game progress and civilization state
• Authenticate your account

How We Store and Protect Your Information

• All data is stored in a secure cloud database with encryption in transit (TLS/SSL)
• Database access is protected by Row-Level Security, meaning each user can only access their own data
• We do not store passwords directly; authentication is handled through industry-standard secure authentication services
• Your data is stored on servers located in the United States

What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell your personal information to third parties
• We do not share your data with advertisers
• We do not use your health and wellness data for any purpose other than providing the App's features to you
• We do not use your data to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models
• We do not display advertisements in the App
• We do not collect precise location data

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase (database and authentication): Subject to Supabase's privacy policy
• Apple Push Notification Service / Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications): Subject to Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies
• Expo (app framework): Subject to Expo's privacy policy

We do not integrate with any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media tracking services.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (including health and wellness data, game progress, and account information) will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

Your Rights

Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@habinaut.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Data Export

You may request a copy of your data by contacting us at privacy@habinaut.com.

California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect about you
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell your data)
• Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights

European Residents (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you have additional rights including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your data. Our legal basis for processing is your consent (provided when you create an account) and the performance of our contract with you (providing the App's services).

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
